On some posts, yeah. Instagram's started showing share counts next to the paper plane icon. Where it shows, a high number says people passed this around.

Are bought shares allowed?
No. Meta's rules name shares as something you can't buy, and Instagram can remove ones it doesn't trust. There's no refill on this one.
Does my post need to be public?
Yes. Shares only work on a public post or Reel. All we need is the link.
